1.2 Subscription information (Ultimate Edition).
If you purchase an Ultimate Edition subscription, we may receive and store information needed to administer your subscription, such as:

  • plan name (monthly or yearly), subscription status, start/renewal dates;

  • email address and name;

  • transaction identifiers and receipts; and

  • customer support communications related to billing or access.

Important: Payment card details are processed by third‑party payment processors and are not stored on our servers.

1.3 Optional donation information.
If you choose to make an optional donation, we may receive records such as your name, email address, donation amount, and transaction identifiers. Payment details are handled by payment processors and not stored on our servers.

1.4 Age‑screening data (children’s privacy compliance).
To help comply with children’s privacy laws, we may ask for month and year of birth before collecting subscription details. This is used only to determine whether we may lawfully collect personal information.

1.5 Technical data.
We may automatically collect technical information such as IP address, approximate location (city/region), device/browser information, timestamps, and interaction data (pages visited, session duration, clicks, scrolls) to improve performance and security.

2) How We Use Information

We use information for the following purposes:

  • Newsletter delivery and communications (send the free newsletter and service‑related announcements; respond to inquiries).

  • Subscription administration (process purchases, provide access to Ultimate content, manage renewals/cancellations, send receipts and access notices, provide customer support).

  • Donation processing and acknowledgements (confirm donation transactions and maintain records).

  • Analytics and site improvement (understand usage, improve content and usability, measure performance).

  • Security and compliance (prevent fraud, enforce our Terms, comply with legal obligations).

3) Cookies and Analytics

We may use cookies and similar technologies for functionality, analytics, and performance. You can control cookies through your browser settings; however, some features may not work correctly if cookies are disabled.

We do not currently respond to “Do Not Track” signals.

4) Data Sharing and Third‑Party Services

  • Email/list management and data storage (e.g., Google Sheets / Google Apps Script).

5) Children’s Privacy & Age‑Screening

RunnerSource.net is a general‑audience service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we collected information from a child under 13 contrary to this policy, we will delete it promptly.

6) Your Choices and Rights

  • Unsubscribe: You may unsubscribe from the free newsletter at any time via the unsubscribe link in emails.

  • Subscriptions: You may cancel an Ultimate Edition subscription using the controls provided or by contacting us (see Contact section). Canceling a paid subscription does not automatically unsubscribe you from the free newsletter unless you also unsubscribe.

  • Access/Deletion Requests: Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection. We will respond as required by applicable law.

7) Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as needed for legitimate business purposes, such as providing the Service, maintaining transaction records for accounting, and complying with legal obligations. We retain donation and subscription transaction records as required for bookkeeping and dispute handling.

8) International Visitors

If you access RunnerSource.net outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States. Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated policy and revise the “Last updated” date.
